Since April 1, 1996, the Acadian Museum has been one of the seven sites of the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation, the province’s museum network. The Museum and Heritage Foundation of Prince Edward Island operates seven provincial museums and heritage sites, providing Islanders and visitors with the opportunity to discover our Island’s heritage and culture.
Its purpose is to “study, collect, preserve, interpret and protect the human and natural heritage of Prince Edward Island for the use, benefit and enjoyment of the people of the province.”
The Museum will open one hour later on Friday June 12. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Association du Musée acadien is looking for consultants to carry out tasks leading to the creation of its new video presented to visitors to the Museum

L’Association du Musée acadien de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard is looking for a consultant to carry out work concerning copyright and the use of images for the creation of its new video, destined to the Acadian Museum's visitors. Among the tasks, the person needs to determine who the legal copyright holders are (images and audio), identify the amounts to pay according to industry standards, prepare the agreements, etc.
In their bid, the candidate must demonstrate a good knowledge of both film and music industries in Atlantic Canada as well as an excellent understanding of the most recent copyright laws; show related experience.

Scriptwriting:
L’Association du Musée acadien de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard is looking for a consultant to work on the script for its video that will be played for the Acadian Museum's visitors. The person will work with a subcommittee to update based on the former video and determine which images and audio to use.
In their bid, the candidate must demonstrate a good knowledge of the Acadian and francophone community of the Island and its history, as well as show examples of related experience.

Research on technologies and equipment that will make the video accessible to people with hearing and visual impairments:
L’Association du Musée acadien de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard is looking for a consultant to do research and determine which equipment is best suited for its location in order to make its video accessible to people with hearing and visual impairments.
In their bid, the candidate must show a good knowledge of the industry as well as examples of related experience.
